How do I complete an online upgrade for my mesh points?

This article includes steps to upgrade your M2 and M6 devices, scroll down to get more information.

• Following the steps below to upgrade your M2 devices

Please Note: ALWAYS upgrade your BEES before your M2. If you have multiple M2 Queens, please upgrade the M2s that are functioning as nodes before your M2 router.

In the Mercku App:

1. Go to Settings > Select Upgrade firmware
2. Select the Bees you wish to upgrade (multiple selections are allowed) > Click Upgrade.
3. Wait for the upgrade process to be complete and you will be able to see if your devices have successfully been upgraded.
4. Now select the M2 > Click Upgrade.
5. Once the upgrade process is complete, you can check that you are using the latest firmware version by going to Settings > Upgrade Firmware. If you are using the latest firmware, you will see a message displaying, "You're using the latest version"

On http://mywifi.mercku.tech:

1. Ensure that you are connected to the Mercku Wi-Fi and log on to mywifi.mercku.tech. 
2. Go to Upgrade Firmware > Online Upgrade
3. Select all the Bees > Click on Upgrade 
4. The message below will appear, click on Upgrade: 
5. Repeat steps 2 and 3, but select M2 instead > Click Upgrade. 
6. After the upgrade, you will be re-directed to the homepage. Click on List and check if the version of the device is correct.

NOTE: If the version is not updated right away, wait 1 minute while the network reboots then refresh the page.

• Following the steps below to upgrade your M6 devices
  

  Using the Mercku App: 

  • Open the Mercku App on your mobile device 
  • Settings > Upgrade Firmware
  • Now select the M6 node that you wish to upgrade > Click Upgrade. 
  • Once the upgrade process is over, you can check that you are using the latest firmware version by going to Settings > Upgrade Firmware. If you are using the latest firmware, you will see a message displaying the following:  

Using the Mercku Portal: 

• • Visit http://mywifi.mercku.tech, and log in using your Router Admin Password 
  • Go to Upgrade Firmware > Online Upgrade 
  • Select all the M6 nodes that you wish to upgrade > Click Upgrade 
  • The message below will appear, click on Upgrade:

• • After the upgrade, you will be re-directed to the homepage. Click on My Wi-Fi> Router Management > List to check in the list if the version of the device is correct. 

Please note: please try the offline upgrade if the online upgrade fails.
