Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) is a simple protocol used for transferring files, it is usually used for transferring boot files or configuration files between machines in a local setup or support upgrades.

2. Download the TFTP firmware from our website, www.mercku.com/support/downloads.
3. Change the name of the downloaded TFTP firmware to “mercku.img”
4. Connect your PC or laptop to your M6’s LAN port using an ethernet cable, and set it up with a static IP address (e.g. 192.168.127.10) using the instructions below:

8. Plug in the M6’s power cable, and as it is booting up press and hold the Reset button with a pin. Once the green light begins flashing, you may stop pressing the button.
9. After you stop pressing the Reset button, the router’s LED will begin flashing red and blue, and the TFTP tool will display the following status indicating that the TFTP file is being uploaded
10. Once the Tftp file has successfully been uploaded, the M6 LED’s will stop flashing red and blue, and will enter its upgrading state as shown below. Please wait 30 seconds for the Tftp upgrade to complete.
