In this article, we'll show you how to quickly add a new Mercku M6s Nano Router to your existing M6s Nano Wi-Fi network.
Our M6 series includes the M6, the M6s, M6s Nano, the M6a, and the M6a Plus. At this time, we can not mesh the devices outside their series, e.g. the M6s Nano can only mesh with another M6s Nano and the M6a can only mesh with another M6a, etc.
There are three different ways to add an M6s Nano node to your existing mesh network:
Method 1: Using Quick Connect Feature
- Please wait for 1 minute after connecting the M6s Nano to power. Once the indicator light becomes solid orange, proceed to the next step.
- The indicator light of the node will begin flashing blue to signify that the device is in pairing mode and will change to white once the mesh connection is successful
Method 2: Mesh via Mercku App
1. Enter the App homepage and click the red plus sign in the upper right corner
2. Click 'Add a node'
3. Choose the most appropriate router placement based on recommendations
4. Select 'Wireless mesh'
5. Plug in the M6s Nano mesh node to power using the provided power adapter. Please factory reset the previously active device and press the 'Reset' button for 10 seconds)
6. Wait for about 2 minutes, when the indicator light turns from red to orange or white, go to the next step
7. Please tap the Connect button. Wait until the indicator light flashes blue, and press 'Next'
8. Wait for the device search to be successful, complete the device configuration, and enter the management page
Method 3: Wired Mesh
1. Plug in the M6s Nano mesh node to power using the provided power adapter
2. Factory reset the previously active device (press the 'Reset' button for 5 seconds)
3. Wait for about 2 minutes, when the indicator light turns from red to orange, go to the next step
4. Connect the LAN port of the main router and the WAN port of the node with a network cable, and connect the WAN port of the main router to the Internet with another network cable. Once the LED turns white, separately press the ''Connect'' button at the main router and node. Wait for about one minute, and when the lights of the node router and the main router are solid white indicating that the networking is successful
