Please relate the following factors, like housing structure, indoor obstacles, and appliance interference to the deployment of mesh nodes to the main unit (the gateway router):
Basically, M2 should be placed in the center of the mesh network without obstructions.
Place bee nodes closer to the gateway M2. And the higher the node is placed, the better coverage there would be.
Both gateway M2s and bee nodes should not be placed in the corner. Please keep it 1m off the floor as well, because the floor could degrade the signal as a wall does.
Please also avoid appliance signal interference, for example, microwave, 2.4G wireless mouse and 2.4G wireless telephones. And please stay your M2s away from cement walls or metals door.
Besides, please check the mesh topology diagram on the app/web to avoid linear multi-hop structure, that is, to place M2/Bee in a line where the data is transferred between more than one network node.
Distance between nodes (the observation light is guaranteed to be green and always on)
- Open space within 7m
- There are walls
- Cement walls and metal doors: close to each other-- it should be right close to the wall
- Glass: 2m
- Wood and plastic: 5m
